Though I've been a Florida resident for over 20 years now, I was
born and raised in Newnan. I am very proud of the efforts of the
historical society to preserve the precious homes and buildings in
Coweta County. Keep up the great work!

It is good to see this information online. I was raised in Newnan,
and my love of history started in that once small town.

this might be of interest to the group working on the colored
cemetary. Comment from the Jun 20 1892 issue of the Herald..."No
luck changing street to consolidate the colored cemetary." There
may be more in other issues of that year.
