The Newnan-Coweta History
Center - Event Rental
Mission: The
purpose of the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society, Inc., which owns and
operates the History Center is to preserve and interpret the history
of Newnan and Coweta county heritage through collections, educational
programs, exhibitions, and research. We welcome the opportunity to
expand our educational efforts by allowing use of the Center by
Newnan-Coweta Historical Society Donor-Level Members in good standing
for special events.
Location: The
History Center is located at 60 East Broad Street, Newnan, Georgia in
the old A&W Railroad Depot.
Capacity: 400 Guests
Availability:
The center is available for use Monday through Saturday. Sundays are
available on an exceptional basis.
Parking /
Security: The Center offers free parking on the premises that is
sufficient for most events. A security officer will be on duty during
each event.
Reservations:
A date will be reserved upon receipt of 50 percent, nonrefundable
deposit and a signed contract. The balance of the fee must be paid no
later than sixty days prior to the event. A reservation cannot be
guaranteed without the deposit and signed contract.
Donation
Requested:Day events are $300. Night events Monday-Thursday are $600;
Friday is $700; Saturday is $800. County/City or Non-profit
organizations may deduct $100 from the event cost. A 3-day event is
$1,000. Only Society Donor-Level Members ($100 per year) in good
standing are eligible to use the Center. Event rental prices are
subject to change.
Liability
Insurance: User will provide Center Coordinator with proof of
insurance to cover the event sixty days prior to the event date. See
